An engrossing talk given by  Ruth Mantle (Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Nurse Consultant NHS Highland and  Churchill Fellow of 2015) on this important topic.

Not a comfortable topic but Ruth got across the message that the condition can be managed and that lifestyle changes can reduce the risk.

Chris Daphne, a biologist working with the The Ness and Beauly Fisheries Trust gave a  talk  on dealing with threats to the marine environment. Essential information for anybody interested in the Firth and what lives in it!

the st ayles rowing skiffThe story of how a group of men turned a collection of plywood and timber into a beautiful skiff.

Prior to getting outside to examine the boat, Steve Bramwell gave a talk in the Chanonry Sailing Club and showed an excellent film detailing the trials and tribulations of the entire project.

After this, Ikea furniture holds no fears to these lads!
