11 April 2018Fire Safety Talk

10th April 2018 : Fire Safety in the Home

An absorbing talk by Colin Henderson from Inverness Fire Brigade was well attended and there is little doubt that most (if not all) attendees would have been up on chairs the following day checking their smoke and heat detectors and their batteries.

Plenty of discussion and everybody left that meeting having learnt something new on the subject - an hour or so well spent!

Thank you Colin.

12 March 2018Playlist for Life

An absorbing talk by Mike Halley about Playlist for Life- a UK music and dementia charity who use the music of a person’s life to keep them connected to themselves and their loved ones throughout their dementia journey.

"When you listen to music, your brain lights up like a fireworks display. If parts of your brain are damaged, the music can still reach those other parts. The results of that can be astonishing. "
